I'm often reminded of the verse in Proverbs stating that "like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control." (25:28) A city without walls (in those days) was completely defenseless and susceptible to attack and overthrow. As a man, I MUST keep my walls in good repair.

OK lust no longer a besetting sin, now your anger stirs up.. then once that is under control, envy rears its head, then its pride or judging the brethern and on and on and on....
